2024 Master's Admission Brochure

I. Admission Plan

In 2024, Zhejiang Gongshang University Sussex Institute of Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter referred to as the AI Institute) plans to admit 100 master's students, including 50 in the Robotics and Automation Systems program and 50 in the Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems program. The admission process will be conducted independently, without the need for the National Master's Graduate Entrance Examination. The academic year will commence in September 2024.

II. Training Objectives

Aligned with the national and Zhejiang province's demand for talents in robotics and automation systems, as well as artificial intelligence, the program aims to cultivate high-level artificial intelligence professionals with a solid theoretical and practical foundation. Graduates are expected to master relevant knowledge in robotics, automation systems, and adaptive systems, engaging in work related to design, development, and manufacturing. Additionally, they should possess an international perspective, innovative capabilities, and a sense of national pride.

III. Teaching Arrangement

The AI Institute's postgraduate training adopts the curriculum developed by the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. It incorporates international advanced teaching methods and authoritative artificial intelligence textbooks. Core courses will be taught by professors from the University of Sussex.

IV. Degree Award

Upon completion of all credits, students will be awarded a Master's degree by the University of Sussex, which is identical to the degree certificate awarded in the UK. After obtaining the degree certificate, students can undergo degree certification at the China Education Ministry Service Center.

V. English Proficiency Requirements for Applicants

Applicants are required to meet the English proficiency requirements outlined in Table 1 for eligibility and Table 2 for formal admission.

Note:

1)The validity period for IELTS, TOEFL, and PET Academic scores must extend beyond September 1 of the admission year.

2)IELTS and TOEFL only accept offline test scores, and do not accept IELTS Home Edition and TOEFL Home Edition.

3)English training typically takes place from June to August, and the training fee is based on the University of Sussex fee standards (3224 pounds in 2024).

VI. Application Methods

Applicants can choose one of the following channels for application (cannot apply through both channels simultaneously):

Application Channel A

Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

(1) Hold a bachelor's degree with a course average score of 70 or above or have sufficient relevant work experience (proof required), and achieve the required English proficiency score as per Table 1 or above.

(2) For 2024 graduates, the average score of the degree-required courses is 70 or above with proof of enrollment, and the English proficiency score meets the requirements in Table 1 or above.

Application Channel B

Applicants must simultaneously meet the following conditions:

(1) The courses for which the applicant obtained a bachelor's degree (excluding language courses) must be conducted entirely in English.

(2) Hold a bachelor's degree or, for 2024 graduates, provide proof of enrollment.

(3) The GPA converted to a 4-point scale for the undergraduate stage must not be lower than 2.7, or equivalent grades, or a bachelor's degree classification of 2:2 or above.

VII. Admission Process

After submitting application materials through the enrollment system, the AI Institute will regularly organize assessments and interviews. Applicants will be notified within 10-20 working days after the interview regarding formal or conditional admission.

(1) Formal Admission: Issued to applicants who pass the institute's assessment and interview, meet the English proficiency requirements (see Table 2), and submit complete supporting d0cuments.

(2) Conditional Admission: Issued to applicants who pass the institute's assessment and interview, meet the English proficiency requirements (see Table 1) or admission requirements (see Table 2).

(3) Conditional Admission to Formal Admission: Issued to applicants who have obtained a qualifying bachelor's degree. After meeting the English proficiency requirements stated in the conditional admission letter, the institute will issue a formal admission letter. For applicants who are current undergraduates, after meeting the English proficiency requirements and submitting a qualifying bachelor's degree certificate, the institute will issue a formal admission letter.

VIII. Tuition Fee

The tuition fee is 150,000 yuan, excluding transportation, accommodation, and other costs related to overseas academic exchanges. The payment schedule is 100,000 yuan for the first academic year and 50,000 yuan for the second academic year.

IX. Application Method
